Outline for Hesper Healthstyle Challenge

This is a monthly 28 day #HealthstyleChallenge, starting on the 24th day of every month

October 24th, 2014 kicks off my Healthstyle Challenge - ending on November 20th, 2014.

Everything for the Challenge can be found here - however the bulk of the challenge videos will be found on the HESPERyoga Instagram (@hesperyoga) or HESPERyoga on Facebook.

Every day of the challenge will have an yogasana practice (either a specific asana or a sequence), 2 days a week of meditation, 2 days a week of journaling, 1 day a week of breath work, nourishment to try and create once a week, and the option for the YogaBookClub.


Sunday - NOURISHMENT

Asana and Intention - (please note the intention I supply does not have to be the intention you choose to use..... everyone feels and needs different things - if you are posting, please hashtag (#HealthstyleChallenge) or tag me so that I can see all your beautiful practices and intentions (which can be on photo or in caption).

I will present a healthy snack or meal and the instructions for how to make it - If you choose to participate in this portion of the challenge - you have all week to post a pic of the snack or meal :) and Please remember to hashtag or tag me if you'd like it seem by me!


Monday/Thursday - MEDITATION

Meditation - I will demonstrate different ways I can choose to meditate throughout the day, offer great articles and classes to take to learn more, in case this sparks a light for one of you - but mostly if nothing else, just try to take at least 15 minutes to yourself on these days, sit somewhere quiet, get comfortable, and clear your mind. If anything enters, acknowledge it and let it go. Make the commitment of at least 15 minutes of silence, quiet, calm, stillness, peace two days a week.


Tuesday/Friday - Journaling

On Friday's I will be supplying a weekly wrap-up of all the poses and sequences and do a wrap up sequence - please try it :) It will be made up from all the exercises practiced that week.

Journaling - I will supply journal topics the night before every Tuesday and Friday. These topics can be the ones you choose to write on or maybe you have topics of your own. Brilliant! Make the commitment on these days to take 15 minutes to journal. Sharing these like sharing your meditations are optional - I know the need for privacy and I can understand not wanting to share things with all of interspace :) Journaling is done for YOURSELF, first and foremost, so share none, share one, share some, or share all - This is your decision - I will only supply the reminder and topics if needed to get shining :)


Wednesday - BREATH

Different Breaths for different parts of your life to try out and practice on your own - I will supply websites, classes and reading material in case this sparks and light for one of you!


Saturday - YOGABOOKCLUB

YogaBookClub is completely optional (like the rest of the challenge!!) :) but I couldn't teach without books - and with my mother working at a library. My life would have been so boring without them. I'm not talking eBooks, although I'm sure those are great, I'm taking holding an actual book in your hand and curl up somewhere, next to a heater or fire in the evening or in the morning when it rains - and READ!


The end of the month - I will supply a whole yoga class for you made up of each of the asanas and weekly sequences I have provided throughout the 28 days, You can always practice anything as mini series or a whole routine. :)


#Hesperation picks will happen weekly with spotlights and messages. There will be 2 picks at the end of the month to receive a handknit yoga bag from me and another special surprise.

We are doing this for our minds, bodies, and souls - every soul wins who gives it energy and tries.
